Application Fee
Candidates must pay the application fee online. A portion of the fee is refundable to candidates who appear for the Tier-I exam.

DRDO CEPTAM-11 Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), and PwBD (10 years) candidates as per Govt rules.
2. Educational Qualification
- For Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B):
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) OR
- Three-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (e.g., Automobile, Chemical, Civil, CS, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, etc.) from a recognized institute.
- Note: Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/PhD are NOT eligible.
- For Technician-A (Tech-A):
- (i) Class 10th (Matriculation) pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- (ii) ITI Certificate in the relevant trade (e.g., Carpenter, COPA, Electrician, Electronics, Fitter, Machinist, Welder, etc.).
- Note: Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E/B.Tech are NOT eligible.
Salary / Pay Scale
- STA-B: Pay Matrix Level-6 (₹ 35,400 – ₹ 1,12,400) + Allowances.
- Technician-A: Pay Matrix Level-2 (₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200) + Allowances.
DRDO CEPTAM-11 Selection Process
The selection procedure varies by post:
For STA-B:
- Tier-I (CBT): Screening Test (120 Questions, 120 Marks). Subjects: General Science, Quant, Reasoning, English, General Awareness.
- Tier-II (CBT): Provisional Selection (Specific to Subject/Discipline).
For Technician-A:
- Tier-I (CBT): Screening Test (Quant, Reasoning, English, Science, General Awareness).
- Tier-II (CBT): Provisional Selection (Specific to Trade).
- Trade Test: Qualifying in nature (Practical skill test).

DRDO CEPTAM-11 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Ans: No. Candidates possessing higher qualifications like B.Tech, B.E, M.Sc, or Ph.D. as on the crucial eligibility date are not eligible for the STA-B or Technician-A recruitment.
Ans: Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both Tier-I and Tier-II examinations
Ans: Candidates are required to pay a total fee during application (₹ 600 for UR/OBC/EWS, ₹ 500 for others). However, an amount of ₹ 500/- will be refunded to their bank account only if they appear for the Tier-I examination.
Ans: Yes, candidates can apply for more than one post code, but they must submit a separate application and fee for each. Be aware that exams for different posts might be scheduled on the same day or shift.
